Women Actively Acquire New Professions
The educational program helps women learn one of 31 in-demand professions for free, and guaranteed employment is provided upon completion of training. This allows employers to access trained specialists in fields where there is a shortage of personnel.
“337 Ukrainian women have already completed their training, of which 287 are employed. Another 495 are continuing to acquire new skills,” noted the State Employment Service.
Demand for “Male” Professions is Growing
Among the most popular fields are woodworking machine operator (283 applications), boiler operator (165 applications), and tractor driver (154 applications). At the same time, women are also choosing other technical professions: forklift driver, trolleybus driver, CNC machine operator, and repair mechanic.
The most active participants in the program are residents of Ivano-Frankivsk, Zhytomyr, Dnipropetrovsk, Rivne, and Volyn regions.
Applications for training can be submitted online or directly at the nearest employment center, both for women and for employers.
