Gas Tariff for Households to Remain Unchanged Until March 2026

The Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine has decided to extend the special obligations (PSO) for participants in the natural gas market until March 31, 2026. As a result, the price of gas for household consumers will remain fixed at 7,420 UAH per 1,000 cubic meters, including VAT (7.42 UAH/cubic meter).

Fixed Tariff for Budget Institutions

Prime Minister Yulia Svyrydenko announced that the government has also set a fixed price for gas for budget organizations at 16,390 UAH per 1,000 cubic meters, including VAT. According to her, this decision will ensure stability and predictability of expenses for educational, medical, and other state institutions.

Winter Preparedness Plan and Energy Security

The Cabinet of Ministers has approved a comprehensive Winter Preparedness Plan aimed at protecting energy infrastructure facilities. Among the main measures are the creation of reserves of equipment and materials, prompt response in case of emergencies, and the operation of crisis headquarters in the regions to prevent possible blackouts.

“The goal is to get through the heating season despite all the challenges of martial law. To provide people with light, heat, and predictable tariffs,” emphasized the Prime Minister.

To enhance safety in homes equipped with gas stoves, Ukrainians are advised to install gas alarms that continuously monitor air quality. Such devices can be purchased for prices ranging from 1,225 to 2,200 UAH.

At Naftogaz of Ukraine, it was emphasized that this applies to all consumers, regardless of the type of gas supply — pipeline or cylinder, as the risk of leakage always exists.

“The device reacts to dangerous gas concentrations at the initial stage. Some models can automatically shut off the gas supply, activate ventilation, or other safety systems to avoid explosions or poisoning,” explained gas specialists regarding the device’s operation.
