Houthis Suspend Attacks on Israel-Linked Vessels in the Red Sea
The leader of the Yemeni movement “Ansar Allah,” Abdul-Malik al-Houthi, has ordered his supporters to temporarily halt attacks on commercial vessels linked to Israel in the Red Sea and the Gulf of Aden. This decision comes in light of the signing of a ceasefire agreement in the Gaza Strip.

Conditions for Halting Attacks
According to information from Saudi government sources, the Houthis have agreed to refrain from attacks as long as Israel adheres to the terms of the ceasefire. Movement representatives emphasize that they will closely monitor the Israeli side’s compliance with this agreement.
“Ansar Allah” will continue to fully support the Palestinians.
Background to the Houthis’ Decision
Since the escalation of the conflict between Israel and Hamas in October 2023, when Palestinian militants launched a massive attack on Israeli cities, the Yemeni Houthis have repeatedly targeted vessels associated with Israel. These actions were justified by solidarity with the Palestinian people and support for their struggle. Now, in light of the establishment of a ceasefire, the movement has decided to suspend strikes on maritime targets, but reserves the right to resume them if Israel violates the agreements.
