Hybrid Cars Gaining Popularity Among Ukrainians in 2025

The Ukrainian passenger car market is showing a steady increase in demand for hybrid models (HEV and PHEV). In September, Ukrainians purchased over 2,600 such vehicles, exceeding last year’s figures by 30%.

Demand for New Hybrid Cars

According to analytical data, the share of new hybrid cars among all purchases was 52%. In comparison, this figure was higher in September of last year, standing at 60%, indicating an increase in demand for used hybrids.

The most popular among new hybrid models remains the Toyota RAV4 — 280 of these cars were registered in September. In second place is the Toyota Yaris Cross with 84 new registrations, and third place went to the Toyota Camry, which was purchased 77 times.

Used Hybrids: Leaders of the Ukrainian Market

Among used hybrid cars, the Toyota Prius confidently holds the first place — 78 of these vehicles were registered in September. The top three also includes the Ford Escape and Ford Fusion US, each of which found 73 new owners in the country.

Experts note that the demand for hybrid cars is growing both among those choosing new vehicles and among fans of used models, indicating a shift in the preferences of Ukrainian car owners towards more environmentally friendly transportation.
