Import of Used Cars from the USA to Ukraine Increased: June 2025 Statistics

In June 2025, Ukrainians significantly ramped up their purchases of used passenger cars imported from the USA. According to “Ukravtoprom”, nearly 4,300 such vehicles were registered in the Ukrainian market during the month, which is a 12% increase compared to May of the current year.

Structure of Imported Cars from the USA

Among the purchased cars, gasoline vehicles dominated, accounting for 44% of the total volume of imported cars from America. Electric vehicles took second place with 40%, indicating a consistently high interest among Ukrainians in eco-friendly transportation. Hybrid cars made up 8%, diesel vehicles 5%, and cars with gas cylinder equipment constituted 3% of the total import volume.

Age and Market Trends

The average age of passenger cars from the USA that replenished the Ukrainian vehicle fleet in the last month is 5.8 years. This trend indicates the desire of Ukrainian buyers to choose vehicles with relatively low mileage and modern features.

These figures confirm the growing popularity of electric cars among Ukrainians.

For the first time in a long while, crossovers have become the leaders in the structure of used passenger car sales, surpassing sedans by just one hundredth of a percent (29.09% versus 29.08%). This indicates a shift in consumer preferences towards more versatile vehicles.
