Inflation in Ukraine Fell Below 10% in November 2025 – Details on Price Changes
In November 2025, inflation in Ukraine fell below 10% for the first time in the past year. According to the State Statistics Service, the consumer price index increased by 0.4% compared to October, and in annual terms (November 2025 to November 2024), it stood at 9.3%. This is the first instance since October 2024 when the annual inflation rate returned to a single-digit figure.

Price Dynamics and Key Changes in November
Core inflation, which excludes seasonal or administrative fluctuations, was 0.3% for November. In annual terms, this figure also amounted to 9.3%. The most significant price increase in November was for eggs, which rose by 12.6%. The prices of vegetables, fish products, oil, pasta, milk, butter, and bread also increased.
At the same time, some products became cheaper. In particular, prices for fruits, pork, sugar, poultry meat, and rice decreased. Clothing and footwear became 2.3% cheaper. Utility tariffs remained unchanged throughout the month, with the exception of an increase in the cost of waste collection services.
Prices for Popular Products: Significant Increase in the Cost of Lard
One of the most popular products in Ukraine, lard, deserves special attention for its price increase. According to the statistical office, in October 2025, the average price of a kilogram of lard rose by 6.6% compared to September, reaching 206.81 hryvnias. In annual terms, the cost of this product increased by 26.2%.
“In December, the price of the cheapest varieties of lard in stores ranges from ₴150 to ₴200 per kilogram, while premium products are priced at ₴600 to ₴700 per kilogram.”
Thus, despite the overall slowdown in inflation, certain groups of products are showing significant price increases.
