Agricultural Company ‘Promin’ Modernizes Livestock Complex and Implements New Technologies
Agricultural Company ‘Promin’, a leading agro-industrial producer in Mykolaiv region, continues to actively develop its livestock complex. The enterprise specializes in crop production, dairy farming, and pig farming, cultivating nearly 7,000 hectares of land. The farm houses about 3,900 dairy cows and over 10,000 pigs.

Expansion of Production Capacity
According to the chief technologist of Agricultural Company ‘Promin’, Iryna Petrash, who spoke at the conference “Effective Animal Husbandry and Poultry Farming” during the Agro Ukraine Summit, from 2018 to 2023, the enterprise restored and commissioned four modern fattening buildings. This has allowed the creation of a fattening facility designed for 24,000 heads of market pigs per year, which meets European standards. In 2025, the construction of a new breeding facility for 2,000 sows began. Over the past five years, the enterprise has sold more than 67,200 pigs of slaughter condition.
“From 2018 to 2023, we rebuilt and commissioned 4 fattening buildings. Currently, this is a modern fattening facility with a capacity of 24,000 heads of market pigs per year, equipped according to European standards. This year, we started the construction of a new breeding facility for 2,000 sows. In the last 5 years, we have sold over 67,200 pigs of slaughter condition.”
Innovations and Investment Plans
By the end of 2025, the enterprise plans to install a state-of-the-art fermenter for the rapid and safe disposal of carcasses, which will allow for the production of organic fertilizers. In early 2026, the processing of manure into biomethane to meet the internal needs of Agricultural Company ‘Promin’ is expected to commence.
The company’s management emphasizes the importance of finding effective investment solutions and programs to enter European markets. The main tasks remain the export of agricultural products and animals, creating comfortable conditions for animals, increasing production volumes, and improving product quality. These strategic issues have been identified as priorities for the further development of the enterprise.
