Beef Production in Ukraine Exceeded 198 Thousand Tons in January 2026
In January 2026, the volume of cattle slaughtered in Ukrainian enterprises reached 198.7 thousand tons. This is an increase of 0.2% compared to the same period last year.

Leaders Among Regions in Beef Production
About 73% of cattle sold for slaughter came from agricultural enterprises in five regions. The leader in volume was Vinnytsia region, where 45.5 thousand tons of cattle were sold for slaughter.
The list of regions with the largest production volumes also includes:
- Cherkasy region — 35.5 thousand tons;
- Dnipropetrovsk region — 33.5 thousand tons;
- Lviv region — 18.8 thousand tons;
- Volyn region — 11.7 thousand tons.
Dynamics of the Beef Market
“The volume of cattle slaughtered in Ukrainian enterprises in January 2026 was 198.7 thousand tons, which is 0.2% more than in the same period last year.”
The growth in beef production is primarily observed in industrial farms, which ensure a stable supply of meat to the domestic market and support Ukraine’s export potential.
