“This was stated by the director of Friana Foods, Serhiy Bayuka, which is the largest importer of French fries in Ukraine and holds 25% of this market.

According to him, recent years have seen active development in the fast food segment, where oil is a key component in food preparation, particularly for French fries. This market is currently demonstrating the highest growth rates. In this segment, the quality of the oil is of great importance, as it determines the taste and quality of the final product.

High-Oleic Oil — A Promising Product for the Market

“In Ukraine, there are several producers who are actively promoting high-oleic oil, as it has higher quality compared to regular oil and reduces frying time, which increases production efficiency,” explains Serhiy Bayuka. “This makes this product promising for further development both in restaurants and in households.”
