Implementation of Modern Organic Application Technologies
The head of LLC “Ugrydiv Eco Farm,” Bohdan Bandrivskyi, noted that with the implementation of hose systems, manure can be transported over long distances and applied to various cereal crops. This approach allows for the most efficient use of organic raw materials to enhance yields and improve soil structure.
“Our hose systems allow us to pump manure over significant distances and apply it to various cereal crops in the fields,” he stated.
Minimizing Odor and Eco-Friendliness of Production
According to Bohdan Bandrivskyi, a comprehensive set of measures has been implemented at all production sites of the enterprise to prevent the spread of unpleasant odors typical of pig complexes. In particular, special bacteria are added to the baths in animal housing to neutralize odors. Additionally, green plantings have been established around the farm to slow the spread of scents.
The lagoons for storing manure have a closed design that prevents evaporation. The application of organic fertilizer to the fields mainly occurs during the autumn-winter period using modern hose systems.
Experts emphasize that managing organic waste on the farm requires careful planning and calculations to ensure production efficiency and compliance with environmental standards.
Note: LLC “Ugrydiv Eco Farm” (Lviv region) is an official breeding reproducer of three breeds of pigs of Danish genetics. The enterprise has several production sites: a pig production farm, two nuclei for breeding young stock, and more.
