A Modern Dairy Farm ‘Vinsight’ for 1200 Heads Opens in Vinnytsia Region

A new dairy farm ‘Vinsight’ has started operations in the Vinnytsia region, becoming the first such enterprise opened during martial law.

Full Production Cycle and Modern Equipment

According to the head of the Vinnytsia Regional Military Administration, Natalia Zabolotna, the farm has implemented a full production cycle: facilities for housing cattle, a modern milking parlor, and a milk storage system have been established. The farm’s capacity allows for the maintenance of up to 1,200 head of cattle.

Currently, the farm houses 132 Danish Jersey cows, with plans to increase the herd by an additional 88 animals soon. The Jersey breed is known for its high milk quality, with a fat content exceeding 6%, which is significantly higher than the average on other farms.

“Currently, there are 132 Danish Jersey cows here, and another 88 will soon be added to the herd. This breed produces milk with high quality indicators — over 6% fat content, while the average on farms is significantly lower,” said Natalia Zabolotna.

All technological processes at the enterprise are supported by equipment manufactured by the local company TOV ‘Bratslav’.

Investments, Support, and Development Plans

The farm was founded by entrepreneur Gachai Shafiev, who has been working in the agricultural sector for over two decades. The enterprise employs 19 people.

The farm received funding through participation in the state program ‘Affordable Loans 5-7-9%’, which were used for the purchase of livestock. Additionally, the enterprise has submitted documents to receive compensation for part of the equipment costs.

Future plans include the development of its own product processing: production of butter, cheeses, yogurts, and ice cream. Currently, milk is already being supplied to local dairy producers in Vinnytsia.
