As specialists emphasize, producers are currently maintaining quite high selling prices, and some farms are delaying sales, anticipating further price increases for the animals.

Factors Influencing the Market

According to experts, the main factors affecting pricing remain seasonal herd reductions and increased competition among buyers. The report highlights that external factors, including pork imports and changes in logistics, also impact the pricing situation.

“In the second decade of April, further increases in purchase prices for live pigs are expected. This is related both to the supply shortage and the growing demand from processors,” the analytical forecast states.
