The State Compensates Up to 25% of Costs for the Construction and Reconstruction of Farms

The Ukrainian government has approved a new support program for farmers, which provides for partial reimbursement of expenses for livestock development. From now on, agricultural producers can receive compensation of up to 25% of the amount spent on the construction or reconstruction of farms, milking parlors, as well as enterprises for processing by-products of animal origin.

New Conditions for State Support of Livestock

The relevant decision was made at a government meeting on August 6, 2025. The program aims to stimulate the development of cattle breeding and ensure the competitiveness of the Ukrainian meat and dairy industries in both domestic and foreign markets.

“Increased state support will contribute to the development of Ukrainian livestock. Ukraine has great potential for the development of the meat and dairy industries, the products of which will be sold in both domestic and foreign markets,” said Taras Vysotsky, Deputy Minister of Economy, Environment, and Agriculture.

Expense Compensation: Program Details

According to the resolution, farmers can expect compensation of up to 25% of the cost of expenses excluding VAT. The program covers both new facilities and projects for the reconstruction of existing farms, milking parlors, or enterprises engaged in processing by-products of animal origin. This will allow for the modernization of the material and technical base of the industry and increase its productivity.
