The chicken producer “Kuriyar”, whose main facilities are located in Lviv region, has received a loan of 1 billion UAH from PUMB Bank. In the challenging conditions of war, the company is building a growth strategy that involves active cooperation with small and medium-sized chicken producers, as well as the development of integration processes in the market.

Strategic Investment Directions

“Kuriyar” is directing the loan funds towards modernizing logistics systems, automating production processes, as well as deep processing of chicken and implementing new quality standards. The company pays special attention to the introduction of modern transportation systems that reduce dependence on manual labor, and the development of products with increased added value. Part of the investment will be aimed at adapting production to EU standards in order to enter the European market.

Market Impact and Development Prospects

PUMB Bank views this agreement as an investment in a model that has the potential for scaling and creating a multiplicative effect for the entire poultry industry in Ukraine.

“Kuriyar” is building a growth model that goes beyond its own production, focusing on cooperation with small and medium-sized chicken producers and viewing the market not as a field of competition, but as a space for integration.

The growth rates of the Ukrainian chicken market remain high, despite the loss of some production capacities due to the war. This has led to a shift of the main production to the western regions of the country, where active growth in the industry is currently observed.
