64 Ukrainian Enterprises Granted Export Rights for Dairy Products to the EU

The dairy industry in Ukraine, despite the challenging conditions of wartime, continues to increase production and actively integrate into the European market.

Growth in Milk Production and Quality Improvement

During the All-Ukrainian Conference “Dairy Business–2025,” Deputy Minister of Economy, Environment, and Agriculture Taras Vysotsky announced that nearly 5.9 million tons of milk were produced in Ukraine in the first ten months of 2025. Agricultural enterprises are playing an increasingly important role in this sector: their share of total production has reached 45%, and milk production volumes have increased by 7.6%, despite an overall decrease in livestock numbers.

Vysotsky also emphasized the improvement in product quality. More than 55% of the milk processed now meets the European “extra” standard.

“An important trend is the growing role of agricultural enterprises: they now account for 45% of production, and their production volumes have increased by 7.6% despite the overall reduction in livestock. Quality is also improving: over 55% of the milk processed meets the European extra standard,” said Vysotsky.

Dairy Product Exports and Integration with the EU

The Ukrainian dairy industry continues to expand its presence in external markets. In the first ten months of 2025, dairy product exports increased by nearly 9%.

Currently, 64 Ukrainian companies have official permission to export dairy products to the European Union. Of this number, 40 enterprises are dairy processing plants that meet the requirements of European quality and food safety standards.

Taras Vysotsky emphasized that even amid numerous challenges, the industry demonstrates stability in key indicators and creates conditions for further development. The next steps for the dairy sector include attracting investments, modernizing production, and steadily advancing towards full integration with the European market.
