Ukrainian Export of Poultry Meat and Eggs Set a Record in March 2026
In March 2026, Ukraine achieved record volumes of poultry meat and egg exports since the onset of the full-scale war. According to industry data, external supplies of poultry meat amounted to 43.47 thousand tons, which is 5.3% more than in February of the current year, when exports totaled 41.08 thousand tons. This increase occurred despite a decline in global prices for the products.

Dynamics of Poultry Meat Exports: Leaders Among Importing Countries
In March, foreign currency earnings from poultry meat exports decreased by 3.8%, totaling 85.05 million USD. The reduction in revenue is attributed to a drop in the average export price to 1.96 USD per kilogram. The main consumers of Ukrainian products in the first quarter of 2026 were:
- Netherlands (18.9%),
- United Kingdom (12.4%),
- Slovakia (10.1%),
- United Arab Emirates (7.9%).
Overall, European Union countries purchased 42.4 thousand tons of poultry meat, accounting for 35.8% of total exports, while their share in foreign currency earnings reached 46.4%.
Growth of Egg Exports: Key Markets
March was marked by a rapid increase in egg exports, which reached 216.2 million pieces worth 24 million USD. This is 23% higher than February’s figures and a quarter more compared to March of last year. Over the year, foreign currency earnings from egg exports increased by 57%.
“In total, for the first quarter of 2026, Ukraine exported 579.5 million eggs worth 66 million USD. Physical volumes of supplies increased by 17% over the year, while monetary revenues grew by 74%.”
The main buyers of Ukrainian eggs were Spain (26.1%), the United Kingdom (13.1%), Poland (11.7%), and Israel (8.3%). The share of EU countries in total egg exports is 74%.
