Ukrprominvest-Agro Expands Meat Business and Prepares to Enter the Market in 2025

The agricultural holding “Ukrprominvest-Agro” is actively implementing a new development direction — the raising of beef cattle of the Belgian Blue and Angus breeds. This was reported by the company’s top manager Mykhailo Voloshyn. Currently, about 1,000 heads of cattle of various ages are being fattened at the enterprise, of which approximately 35% are meat breeds. The company plans to start regular deliveries of meat products to the Ukrainian market as early as 2025.

Diversification Strategy and Livestock Development
The enterprise is actively working on the balanced development of two main areas: dairy production and the fattening of beef cattle. According to Voloshyn, with the onset of full-scale war, the focus of activities has partially shifted from breeding heifers towards dairy and meat production; however, the agricultural holding does not abandon the maintenance of heifers.
“Although the full-scale war has somewhat shifted the focus of activities from breeding purebred heifers to dairy and meat production, we do not abandon the maintenance of heifers. Having different directions is a guarantee of risk diversification.”
