Changes in Pension Payment Amounts

The maximum amount of pension payments will also be raised — an increase from 23,610 to 25,950 hryvnias is anticipated. This will provide additional financial support to those eligible for maximum pensions.

The amount of minimum pension payments may vary for different categories of pensioners. Factors such as age, insurance record, and the presence of benefits established by Ukrainian pension legislation influence this.

Features of Calculation and Supplements

According to current legislation, citizens who reach the age of 65 and have sufficient insurance experience (35 years for men and 30 years for women) must receive a pension not lower than 40% of the minimum wage. In 2026, this will amount to 3458.8 hryvnias, which is 258.8 hryvnias more than in the current year.

“In addition, if the pension does not exceed 10,340.3 hryvnias, the pensioner will receive special age supplements, specifically: upon reaching 70 years – up to 300 hryvnias; upon reaching 75 years – up to 456 hryvnias; upon reaching 80 years – up to 570 hryvnias.”

Thus, in 2026, Ukrainian pensioners can expect an increase in both minimum and maximum pensions, as well as additional payments depending on age and other factors.
