Ministry of Energy Promises to Respond to Corruption Investigation at Energoatom
The Ministry of Energy of Ukraine has announced its intention to respond to the identified corruption scheme within the company Energoatom after the completion of the relevant investigation.

Ministry of Energy’s Position on the Situation in the Energy Sector
Energy Minister Svitlana Hrynchuk, in response to questions about potential consequences for the supervisory board of Energoatom in connection with the exposure of the corruption scheme, emphasized that the enterprise is not under the direct subordination of the ministry. At the same time, the Ministry of Energy, as the body responsible for formulating and implementing policy across the entire energy sector, plans to thoroughly examine the situation and take necessary measures after the investigation is completed.
“Energoatom is not directly managed by the Ministry of Energy. However, as the ministry responsible for formulating and implementing policy for the entire energy sector, we will address this case and respond according to the results of the investigation,” said Hrynchuk.
Control Over Financial and Anti-Corruption Policies
Svitlana Hrynchuk also emphasized that the supervisory board of Energoatom is responsible for overseeing the financial activities of the company and implementing anti-corruption policies. According to her, this body is the one that monitors compliance with the relevant standards within the company.
