Expanding Logistics Capabilities through the Middle Corridor
BICT is the operator of container, ferry, and general terminals at the sea port of Batumi. The new agreement aims to attract additional cargo flows by increasing the capacity of the ports in both countries. It is planned that a modern ferry route and a new road-rail ferry complex, developed in accordance with the standards of the Trans-Caspian International Transport Route (TITR), also known as the Middle Corridor, will connect the Ukrainian and Georgian terminals.
The goal of the document is to attract cargo flow through the Middle Corridor by expanding cargo handling capabilities.
Bilhorod-Dnistrovskyi Port as a Key Transport Hub
The head of Bilhorod-Dnistrovskyi Sea Port, Oksana Kiktenko, emphasized that the enterprise intends to become a leading logistics center on the European route of the TITR. This is already the second memorandum signed by the Ukrainian port to develop cooperation within the Middle Corridor. A similar agreement was previously concluded with APM Terminals Poti.
