New Train Ivano-Frankivsk – Kramatorsk: Schedule, Ticket Prices, and Route
“Ukrzaliznytsia” is launching a new train that will connect Ivano-Frankivsk and Kramatorsk. Its introduction aims to facilitate travel for Ukraine’s defenders, as well as support rehabilitation, health improvement, and the organization of meetings with loved ones. The first departure is scheduled for June 29, and the ticket price for a third-class carriage is 557.44 UAH.

Route and Features of the Train
The new train has been assigned the number 228/227 and will be one of the longest in the “Ukrzaliznytsia” network: its length will reach 1,358 km, and the route will pass through 9 regions of Ukraine. The importance of this connection is emphasized by its humanitarian, social, and strategic role, particularly for military personnel, internally displaced persons, and their relatives.
“This route will have significant humanitarian, social, and strategic importance. … The route will greatly ease the journey for Ukraine’s defenders heading for rotation or rest, internally displaced Ukrainians temporarily residing in other regions, and the families of defenders wishing to visit them in Donetsk region.”
Upon arrival in Ivano-Frankivsk, passengers will be able to conveniently reach other towns in the Carpathians. To travel to Kalush and Dolyna, it is necessary to transfer to regional train No. 867 Kolomyia – Rava-Ruska, and to Kolomyia, one can use suburban diesel train No. 6534 Ivano-Frankivsk – Kolomyia.
Schedule and Ticket Prices
The train will depart from Ivano-Frankivsk starting June 29, with services operating every other day. Departure is at 21:52, arriving in Kramatorsk at 18:28 the following day. In the opposite direction, departures from Kramatorsk are scheduled from June 30, also every other day. Departure is at 19:20, arriving in Ivano-Frankivsk at 16:45 the following day.
The train’s route will pass through the following stations: Lviv, Kyiv, Hrebinka, Lubny, Myrhorod, Poltava, Berestyn, Lozova, Blynzuki, Barvinkove, Sloviansk.
Tickets for the new train can be purchased 20 days prior to the departure date. They can be bought through the “Ukrzaliznytsia” app, on the carrier’s official website, and at train station ticket offices.
Ticket prices depend on the chosen class of carriage: third-class – 557.44 UAH, coupe – 1513.7 UAH, luxury – 3777.15 UAH.
