On Saturday, November 8, electricity consumption restrictions for the population and businesses will be implemented across Ukraine. These measures are being introduced in response to the consequences of large-scale missile and drone attacks by the Russian Federation, which have significantly damaged the country’s energy infrastructure.

Power Outage Schedules for Consumers and Enterprises

As noted in a statement by the company “Ukrenergo”, electricity outages will occur according to hourly schedules from 08:00 to 21:00 in each region. The outages will last from one to two shifts, allowing for an even distribution of load and preventing emergency situations in the energy system.

For industrial enterprises, separate power limitation schedules have been established. These will be in effect from 07:00 to 22:00, helping to stabilize the operation of the energy grid during peak loads and avoid even greater disruptions in electricity supply.

“On November 8, consumption restrictions will necessarily be applied in all regions of Ukraine”.

Reasons and Necessity of Restrictions

The company emphasized that these necessary measures are due to damage to energy facilities as a result of massive attacks by the Russian Federation. The constant pressure on the energy system after repeated shelling forces operators to take measures to stabilize the network’s operation and ensure the country’s energy security.

Electricity outages across Ukraine are a necessary step to maintain the functioning of the energy system under emergency loads and ensure the stability of electricity supply for critical infrastructure.
