New Projects for the Transport Sector and Circular Economy
As part of the program, four projects for the renewal and modernization of regional highways have already been selected, along with one project related to railway connections. These investments are expected to enhance road safety, optimize travel times for residents of border regions, and accelerate and improve the efficiency of freight transport.
Grants for Environmental Initiatives and Future Cooperation
Additionally, the Small Projects Fund will allow for grant support from the European Union ranging from 20,000 to 90,000 euros for initiatives that promote material reuse, the implementation of energy-saving technologies, and an eco-friendly lifestyle. The application process for these grants will begin in the first half of 2026.
These investments will improve traffic safety, reduce travel times for residents, and make freight transport faster and more efficient.
Furthermore, consultations have already begun regarding the continuation of Polish-Ukrainian cross-border cooperation for the period of 2028-2034, indicating both countries’ long-term interest in the joint development of border areas.
