A Record for Cooking Green Borscht Has Been Set in Ukraine

In Chornomorsk, located in the Odesa region, a record for Ukraine was set for cooking green borscht. This celebration was dedicated to the 52nd anniversary of the city’s founding. The event took place in the square near the Sports Palace, where during the festive fair, two tons of this traditional Ukrainian dish were prepared in one large cauldron.

The mayor of Chornomorsk, Vasyl Huliaiev, announced the event on his Telegram channel, emphasizing the significance of this occasion for the local community. “On the occasion of the 52nd anniversary of Chornomorsk, in the city square near the Sports Palace, two tons of green borscht are being prepared in a huge cauldron during the fair dedicated to this date,” he noted.
The organizers also offered three types of eggs to accompany the borscht: ostrich, chicken, and quail. Although the cooking is still ongoing, the official certificate for setting the record has already been received. During a live broadcast, the mayor showcased the relevant document.
Vasyl Huliaiev invited everyone interested to join the celebration, taste the borscht, and support the Ukrainian military, demonstrating the unity and patriotism of the community.
