As a result of the missile and drone attack by the Russian Federation, infrastructure in Kyiv was damaged and one person was killed

Damage to residential and medical facilities

As a result of the missile and drone strikes, hits were recorded in residential buildings in several districts of the capital, leading to the death of one person and injuries to 25 others, including a pregnant woman and a child. In the Shevchenkivskyi district, missile debris caused fires near a medical facility and in a non-residential building. In the Holosiivskyi district, debris hit a medical facility and caused a fire, and another non-residential building was also damaged.

“There may be interruptions in electricity and water supply in the city,” said Kyiv Mayor Vitali Klitschko overnight.

Disruption of heating networks and consequences for the region

As a result of the attack, certain sections of the heating networks in Kyiv were damaged, particularly in the Desnyanskyi district, where an accident on the heating main temporarily halted heating supply to some residential buildings. Critical infrastructure and residential buildings were also affected in five districts of the Kyiv region. According to Mykola Kalashnyk, head of the Kyiv Regional Military Administration, in addition to the destruction and fires, another person was injured as a result of strikes on civilian infrastructure.
