In the Russian Federation, significant disruptions in internet service have been recorded, which, according to official explanations, are related to “temporary restrictions” during drone attacks. Major Cities and Strategic Regions Most Affected

According to the portal “Sboy.rf”, the most problems with internet access have been reported in Saint Petersburg, Moscow, the Krasnodar Krai, the Rostov Region, and the city of Orsk in the Orenburg Region. Users in these areas are widely complaining about the inability to connect to the network and disruptions in mobile internet speed.

“According to the portal ‘Sboy.rf’, the issues have affected subscribers of all major operators, including MTS, MegaFon, Tele2, Beeline, and Yota,” the report states.

The Russian Ministry of Digital Development has stated that mobile internet restrictions have been implemented during the announcement of a drone attack threat in the regions. Decisions regarding the implementation or lifting of such measures are made by the relevant structures of the Russian Ministry of Defense. At the same time, representatives of the operators have not provided any official comments regarding the reasons for the network issues.

In Certain Regions, Internet Access Has Been Suspended Indefinitely

According to The Moscow Times, in the Ulyanovsk Region, the ban on access to mobile internet will remain in effect until the end of the war against Ukraine. The federal center explains this decision as necessary for ensuring “national security,” and the restrictions can only be lifted by a specific decision from Moscow. This pertains to the expansion of the so-called “security zone” around strategic facilities. Local authorities emphasize that these measures are permanent rather than a temporary response to Ukrainian drone attacks.

In the Ulyanovsk Region, issues with network access have persisted for over a week, significantly impacting the daily lives of residents in the area.
