Consequences of the Attack on the Logistics Facility
During the attack, warehouse employees were not harmed; however, the premises and stock of medications were completely ruined. The exact amount of damages has not yet been determined. The destroyed Dnipro warehouse supplied medicines to the southern regions of Ukraine, which may affect logistics and the availability of medications in these areas.
Systematic Strikes on Pharmaceutical Infrastructure
This is already the third targeted strike on the facilities of ‘Optima-Pharm’. On October 25, a warehouse complex and the company’s office in Kyiv were destroyed due to a Russian shelling. At that time, the total damages were estimated at approximately 100 million dollars, and about 20% of the monthly stock of medicines nationwide was lost.
Earlier, on August 28, a Russian missile hit the pharmaceutical warehouse of ‘Optima-Pharm’ in Kyiv, also causing significant damage to the company’s infrastructure.
The warehouse was completely destroyed, but none of the employees were harmed.
