Situation in Ukraine’s Energy System: Electricity Consumption Remains High

As of the morning of October 11, Ukraine is experiencing increased electricity consumption. Despite this, emergency power outages are not currently being implemented; however, the situation may change throughout the day.

High Consumption Linked to Weather Conditions

According to the Ministry of Energy, the level of electricity consumption remains at the same level as last Saturday, October 4, as of 9:30 AM. This is due to the prolonged overcast weather across the entire territory of Ukraine. The low solar activity is reducing the efficiency of household solar power plants, leading to additional strain on the overall energy grid.

Recommendations for Energy Conservation

The Ministry of Energy emphasizes the need for rational electricity consumption, especially during the evening hours. In particular, citizens are advised not to turn on multiple high-power electrical appliances simultaneously between 4:00 PM and 10:00 PM.

“Given the weather conditions, there is still a need for energy conservation today. Please do not turn on several high-power appliances at the same time from 4:00 PM to 10:00 PM”

The situation regarding emergency outages in all regions affected by shelling is stable, and no additional restrictions are currently being imposed. However, the Ministry of Energy warns that the situation in the energy system may change rapidly depending on the further development of events.
