Reasons for Returning to Times New Roman

Back in 2023, the switch to Calibri was justified by its convenience for people with dyslexia and visual impairments: this sans-serif font makes text easier to read. However, Marco Rubio stated that the initiative to change the font was imposed by “radical” diversity, equity, inclusion, and accessibility (DEIA) programs. According to him, the new measure not only failed to improve communication but also negatively impacted the quality of official correspondence.

Features of Modern Fonts for Digital Environments

Experts note that sans-serif fonts, such as Calibri or Open Sans, provide high readability on digital devices, give text a minimalist appearance, and facilitate quick information processing. Open Sans was specifically designed for use in web environments, making it one of the most readable fonts for digital analytical platforms.
