The Cost of the Easter Basket in Ukraine Has Increased by 17% and Exceeds 1000 Hryvnias
The average price of an Easter basket in Ukraine in 2025 is 1124.77 UAH, which is 17% higher compared to 2024. The price increase is attributed to heightened demand for certain products, as well as inflationary processes.

compared the cost of a standard Easter basket, which includes 10 eggs, 1 kg of hard cheese, 1 kg of sausage, 1 white loaf, 1 package of horseradish, and a set of three candles. Depending on the supermarket, this set will cost between 950.19 UAH and 1189.73 UAH.
The Cost of Preparing Homemade Easter Bread
The average cost of preparing homemade Easter bread, which consists of 700 g of flour, six chicken eggs, 180 g of butter, 300 g of milk, 400 g of sugar, raisins, and 40 g of yeast, will be at least 202 UAH.
Consumption Trends
The study also showed that the number of people who prepare Easter bread at home and those who buy it from cafes or stores is almost identical — 31% and 33% respectively.
