The ‘Dyakivtsi’ Border Crossing with Romania Temporarily Closed Due to Power Outage
The ‘Dyakivtsi’ border crossing on the Ukrainian-Romanian border in the Chernivtsi region has temporarily suspended operations due to power supply interruptions. Currently, the processing of vehicles and pedestrians at this crossing is not being carried out.

Reasons for the Temporary Suspension
A critical situation with electricity supply has arisen at the ‘Dyakivtsi’ border crossing following massive attacks by Russia on Ukraine’s energy infrastructure. As a result, the lack of industrial electricity has made it impossible for border guards and customs officers to operate.
“Due to the massive enemy attacks on Ukraine’s energy infrastructure, there is currently no industrial electricity supply at the international vehicle border crossing ‘Dyakivtsi’.”
In connection with this, the processing of vehicles and pedestrians in both directions has been temporarily halted. Work is currently underway to restore power supply to normalize the operations of the crossing.
Recommendations for Travelers
The State Border Guard Service of Ukraine urges citizens to take this information into account when planning to cross the border with Romania. Travelers are advised to choose alternative crossings — ‘Krasnoyilsk’ and ‘Porubne’ — for crossing the Ukrainian-Romanian border while the ‘Dyakivtsi’ crossing is being restored.
