The Number of Pensioners in Ukraine at the Beginning of 2025
According to the Pension Fund of Ukraine, there is an increase in the number of pensioners in Ukraine. As of April 1, 2025, their number reached 10,343,630, which is 12,255 more than at the beginning of the year.

It is noted that in March 2025, as part of the planned pension indexing, pension payments increased by 9.5%. However, this increase was unable to compensate for the inflation rate, which at that time was 14.6%. This led to a decrease in the real purchasing power of pensioners by 4%.
The average pension in Ukraine at the beginning of 2025 is 6,341.11 UAH, which is 552.06 UAH more compared to the previous month. Compared to April 2024, pensions have increased by 10.4%, but at this pace, it is not possible to cover the rising cost of living.
“This increase has not kept pace with the inflation rate,” reports the Pension Fund of Ukraine.
