Ukraine Strengthens Its Position in Drone Manufacturing and Enters the Global Market
Ukraine confidently establishes itself as a leader in the field of drone manufacturing. Each year, Ukrainian enterprises produce up to 4 million drones of various types, which are actively used to target Russian objects both on the front lines and deep in the rear of the Russian Federation. This production volume significantly exceeds that of the United States, where approximately 100,000 military drones are manufactured annually.

Ukrainian Drones Enter International Markets
The defense industry of Ukraine, which has developed in the context of a prolonged war, is strengthening its position in the global market. Domestic companies, despite financial challenges, are actively seeking ways to expand production beyond the country’s borders and export innovative technologies. In particular, the drone manufacturer Skyeton has opened a modern factory in Slovakia, attracting $11.6 million in foreign investment.
Current Investments and International Cooperation
Ukraine is beginning cooperation with Britain in the area of joint production of interceptor drones. Significant financial support is provided by Denmark, which allocated $77 million in 2025 for the development of joint defense projects. The main potential markets for Ukrainian drones have been identified as Europe and the United States.
“The Ukrainian defense industry, tempered by years of full-scale war, now seeks to enter international markets”.
At the same time, Kyiv is preparing to open its first official arms export offices in Berlin and Copenhagen, which will contribute to the further development of Ukrainian defense exports and strengthen international ties.
