Strike on Temryuk Seaport
On the night of December 5, Ukrainian forces struck the infrastructure of the Temryuk seaport. This port plays a key role in the logistics of the Russian army, handling the unloading of general cargo, liquid cargo (including liquefied natural gas and chemical shipments), bulk cargo, and loose cargo. Following the strike, a fire broke out in the port area, and the extent of the damage is currently being assessed.
“This port, in particular, handles the unloading of general cargo, liquid cargo (liquefied natural gas and chemical shipments), bulk cargo, and loose cargo. It is involved in supporting the Russian occupying army.”
Strike on Sizran Oil Refinery and Consequences for Russian Industry
Additionally, the Sizran Oil Refinery was struck, which processes between 7 to 8.9 million tons of oil annually. This facility also supports the operations of the Russian armed forces. As a result of the drone attack, a fire broke out on the refinery’s premises, damaging one of the technological installations of the enterprise.
The General Staff also confirmed further consequences from the previous attack on the Saratov Oil Refinery, where the primary oil purification unit ELOU-AVT-6 was put out of operation. As of early December 2025, this refinery has completely halted the primary processing of crude oil and is operating at less than half of its design capacity, with a complete shutdown of key technological lines.
