The press service of Ukrzaliznytsia reported that tickets for the new cars are already on sale and can be purchased at the carrier’s ticket offices.
“Despite the ongoing recovery from a large-scale cyberattack, we continue to promptly analyze requests from passengers and find opportunities to quickly add additional cars to trains on the most in-demand routes. Thus, we are adding 2 cars to the composition of train No. 7/8 Kyiv – Chernivtsi today,” the statement said.
Train Schedule
Departure from Kyiv is scheduled for March 24 at 20:13, arriving in Chernivtsi at 7:59 the next day. From Chernivtsi, the train will depart on March 25 at 19:12 and arrive in Kyiv at 7:02.
Situation with the Cyberattack
Currently, Ukrzaliznytsia continues to restore operations following the cyberattack that occurred on March 23. According to company representatives, the attack was “very systematic, non-trivial, and multi-layered,” but thanks to system backups, restoration has been ensured.
Although the carrier’s main online services remain unavailable, including ticket purchases through the official app and website, as well as information services, Ukrzaliznytsia assures that train operations have not stopped. Trains are running without delays, and all operational processes are functioning successfully in backup mode.
