Ukrzaliznytsia Launches the 48th Modernized Electric Train ER9T-670

Ukrzaliznytsia has announced the launch of another capital-modernized electric train, which is now operating on routes. This is the 48th train that has been upgraded since the beginning of the full-scale war.

Updated Rolling Stock in Chernihiv Oblast

After completing the work at KEVRZ, the electric train of the ER9T-670 series, produced in 1988, has returned to service and started transporting passengers in Chernihiv Oblast. Since the beginning of the year, this is already the twelfth train that Ukrzaliznytsia has restored on its own.

Modern Conditions for Passengers

The modernized electric train is equipped with everything necessary for passenger comfort. The interior has become inclusive, with facilities for people with disabilities, charging ports for electronic devices, changing tables for children, bicycle mounts, and an updated interior design.

As noted by Ukrzaliznytsia, “the electric train from 1988 now, after capital modernization, traditionally has everything needed by modern passengers: inclusivity, comfort, charging ports for gadgets, changing tables, bicycle mounts, and a modern design.”
