Ukrzaliznytsia Restores Systems for Freight Transportation After Cyberattack
JSC “Ukrzaliznytsia” is resuming the operation of its applications and automated systems in the freight sector following a cyberattack. This was reported by Valeriy Tkachov, Deputy Director of the Commercial Operations Department of UZ, on his Facebook page.

According to Tkachov, one of the priority tasks is the restoration of cash financial reporting. Currently, an automated tool for processing and taxing transport documents (ARM TVK/ARM TVK-CORDON) is functioning in test mode.
Launch of New Systems and Tools
Starting April 3, “Ukrzaliznytsia” plans to launch ARM ETechPD, which will allow the ERC to calculate and enter primary transport documents, such as GU-46 and FDU-92. From this date, the company will also implement a simplified data entry system from primary paper documents, taking into account the existing balance as of March 22, 2025.
This system will enable the ERC to enter payments, and together with stations and PKOPD, to generate comprehensive information about accrued payments, significantly easing the control of balances in customer accounts and reducing the risk of accounts receivable during the restoration of automated systems for freight transportation.
Restoration of Key Functions
Additionally, the operation of the freight car registries (ABD PV) and specialized rolling stock (ABD SRS) has already been restored in test mode. Starting April 3, control over the availability of funds in customer accounts will also be restored, and the registration of tax invoices for advance payments will be conducted through the MEdoc application.
“One of the main tasks is to restore the operation of the ASC VP UZ, which is the main automated system for freight transportation. This will ensure IT support for the transportation process, including monitoring the condition and location of freight cars,” noted Valeriy Tkachov.
He also added that partial restoration of the Personal Account E_Portal UZ-CARGO is planned by the end of the week (April 6, 2025). The list of deductions from the personal accounts of senders will be restored after verification and entry into the information system of transport documents issued in paper form from March 23, 2025, to April 3, 2025.
Providing information about the location of freight cars will only be possible after the completion of the ASC VP UZ operations, which requires a significant amount of work. The final deadlines for the restoration of ASC VP UZ have not yet been determined. Tkachov emphasized that the mentioned deadlines are tentative and may be changed during the restoration work.
