Tips for Choosing Quality Butter

To purchase genuine butter, several important aspects should be considered:

  • The ingredient list should contain only one component — cream or pasteurized cream.
  • The optimal choice is a product with a fat content of at least 82.5%.
  • Avoid butter with added vegetable fats (palm, coconut, soybean oil), preservatives, flavorings, and blended fats.
  • The presence of the DSTU 4399:2005 marking on the packaging indicates high quality and compliance with standards.
  • When buying butter by weight, pay attention to the color: a natural product should have a light yellow hue.

“The standard is considered to be a fat content of 82.5%, so it is better to buy a package with this indicator. Thirdly, it is advisable to avoid products containing vegetable fats (palm, coconut, soybean oil), preservatives, flavorings, and blended fats.”
