Used Car Market in Ukraine: Volkswagen, Daewoo Lanos, and Skoda Octavia Lead

In October 2025, sales of used cars in the domestic market of Ukraine remain consistently high. According to data from the Ministry of Internal Affairs service centers, there were 77,800 transactions for the purchase and sale of used passenger cars. This figure has changed little compared to September, but is 8.7% lower than the same period last year.

Volkswagen Maintains Its Lead Among Brands

Volkswagen once again gained the most popularity among Ukrainian motorists in October. This brand accounted for over 9,500 domestic resales. Experts explain this by the high liquidity, convenience, and affordability of Volkswagen models, making them attractive to buyers.

The top three also includes VAZ/Lada with 4,600 resales and Renault with 4,500 transactions.

Leaders Among Models and the Premium Segment

When considering the most popular models, the first place goes to the Volkswagen Passat: in October, 2,735 Ukrainians chose this car. Following it are Daewoo Lanos (2,549 transactions) and Skoda Octavia (2,375 transactions).

The premium segment also remains active. Last month saw the resale of two Ferrari cars, three Rolls-Royces, ten Bentleys, and 21 Maseratis. Among the unusual cases was the change of ownership of the oldest car of the month: a 1951 GAZ M-20A.
