How the Idea to Decorate the Palace with Roses Came About
The initiator of the greening project was Andriana Mrochok, who shared her idea in the communities “World of Roses” and “Roses/Care/Preparations”. She was inspired by the example of Olesko Castle, where vibrant floral locations have already been created. She called on rose enthusiasts to join in decorating Vishniivets Palace as part of the Interreg NEXT Poland – Ukraine 2021-2027 project. The call received a wide response, and within just a few days, over 150 seedlings were collected.
Employees of the National Reserve “Castles of Ternopil” supported the initiative, emphasizing that floral plantings not only add aesthetic appeal but also serve as a magnet for tourists.
“Floral locations not only add beauty but also attract tourists.”
Participants and Sponsors of the Project
The charitable event was joined by both private rose lovers and Ukrainian producers who provided seedlings for planting free of charge. Among the benefactors and active participants were Tetiana Tsyhan from the village of Spaske, Ivanna Chornobai from the city of Zalishchyky, Svitlana Antonenko from Oleksandriia, and Nataliia Malyshchuk from Ternopil. The organizers expressed special gratitude to Andriana Mrochok, whose enthusiasm became the driving force of the project.
Thanks to the joint efforts of caring participants, the flowerbed of Vishniivets Palace has transformed into a picturesque place that attracts visitors and inspires further revival of historical sites in Ukraine. This initiative proves that an active civic stance and love for flowers can change the surrounding space for the better.
