When to Expect Warming in Ukraine: Meteorologists’ Forecast for May 2025

In Ukraine, cool weather with periodic precipitation will persist in the coming days. Meteorologist Natalia Didenko reported this, noting that significant warming is not expected at least until the end of next week.

The Weather Will Remain Unstable Until May 20

According to Natalia Didenko, cold or cool weather will prevail across the country until the end of next week, accompanied by periodic rain. At certain moments, during clearings, the air temperature may rise, as even brief May sunshine can quickly warm the air. However, the rain will not completely cease, so the overall trend towards warming will be moderate.

The meteorologist emphasized that at night, in case of clearings, ground frosts are possible. This could pose additional risks for agriculture and gardeners.

“Cold or cool weather will continue until the end of next week, along with periodic rain. The air temperature may nervously jump up during clearings – it won’t rain all day long. Moreover, the May sun, even if brief, can quickly warm the surroundings.”

When Will Stable Warming Arrive

According to Natalia Didenko’s preliminary forecast, Ukrainians can expect true warming only after May 20. At the same time, she emphasized that the most accurate forecasts pertain only to the next three days, while long-term assessments may be adjusted depending on changes in weather conditions.

Thus, meteorologists advise Ukrainians not to rush to put away warm clothing and to be prepared for prolonged spring coolness, which may linger until the third decade of May.
