External Markets and the Situation in Southern Ukraine
On global markets, gasoil quotations continue to rise. In particular, in London, gasoil futures increased by 54.40 dollars per ton (+5.5%), reaching 1038.70 dollars per ton as of 17:03 Kyiv time. In the southern part of the country, the market shows signs of cooling. According to the NaftoMarket FCA UA-Ports quotations, at 15:00, small wholesale batches of diesel fuel with a volume of 30–64 cubic meters in the Danube ports were mainly sold within the range of 68.70–69.50 UAH/liter, although some offers remained at the level of 71.00–71.50 UAH/liter.
“Market participants have begun to talk about a decrease in demand against the backdrop of purchases made the day before, sometimes at speculative prices around 78–80 UAH/liter on Monday,” reports NaftoMarket.
At the same time, the increase in gasoil quotations partially supported the market throughout the day. According to one supplier, tender offers for delivery to the Kyiv region dropped to 69.00 UAH/liter, which corresponds to the prices recorded in the Izmail region.
