Increase in Pensions from March 2026
Volodymyr Zelensky announced that the next annual pension indexation will take place in March — the increase will affect more than ten million citizens. According to the president, pensioners will receive an increase in payments of more than 12%. Funds for the indexation have already been allocated in the state budget.
Social Payments During Full-Scale War
The president emphasized that Ukraine performs the indexation of social payments every year, even in the conditions of full-scale war. He highlighted the importance of this stability for supporting citizens, calling it a significant achievement of the state.
Zelensky expressed special gratitude to Ukrainian entrepreneurs and companies that continue to operate, pay taxes, and create jobs. The president noted the contribution of businesses to the resilience of the economy and the financial stability of the country.
“At least half of the state’s and citizens’ expenditures are provided by Ukrainians despite everything — despite the war, despite Russian strikes, despite all these outages. It is extremely important that we have both internal foundations of resilience and our work with partners, which provides Ukraine with unprecedented external funding during these years of war.”
Earlier, Prime Minister Yulia Svyrydenko announced an increase in pensions and insurance payments for millions of Ukrainians by 12.1% starting from March 1. Since the beginning of the year, the minimum pension in Ukraine is 2,595 hryvnias.
