Solar Panels and Heat Pumps for Social Infrastructure

The program plans to equip schools, hospitals, and kindergartens with solar panels, heat pumps, and battery systems. Special attention will be given to social infrastructure facilities in frontline areas to ensure the uninterrupted operation of institutions even in the event of power outages.

“Energy independence is not only a strategic goal but also an urgent need for recovery right now,” stated the Ministry of Development.

Benefits for Communities and Sustainable Development

The UNDP emphasized that the implementation of this agreement will allow Ukraine to make a swift transition from planning to concrete actions. The program will promote the “green transition,” assist in rebuilding the country with consideration for environmental standards, and strengthen the resilience of communities, educational, and medical institutions.

The installation of renewable energy sources will not only enhance energy independence but also ensure the continuity of service delivery to the most vulnerable segments of the population.
