The Procedure for Installing Solar Power Plants on Buildings in Ukraine Has Been Simplified

In Ukraine, the process of installing solar power plants (SPPs) on the roofs and facades of buildings has been significantly simplified. From now on, the installation of solar panels is equated to ordinary technical work, and there is no longer a need to obtain permits for major repairs or reconstruction. This decision creates favorable conditions for the faster development of energy independence for both private households and businesses.

As noted by the Prime Minister of Ukraine, Yulia Svyrydenko, the installation of solar power plants on roofs and facades is now possible based on just one document — a technical inspection report of the building. All additional permitting or registration procedures from state architectural and construction control authorities are no longer required.

“The installation of solar power plants on cottages and facades is now based on the technical inspection report of the building. There is no need for additional permitting or registration procedures from state architectural and construction control authorities,” she noted.
