Significance of IFS Certification for the Food Industry

The IFS (International Food Standard) is an international certification system based on the principles of ISO 9001 and HACCP. It is designed to guarantee the safety and high quality of food products and packaging used during production. The certification includes three levels of compliance and covers a wide range of requirements: organization of production processes, adherence to hygiene standards, technological procedures, staff competence, as well as unified criteria for assessing the manufacturer’s ability to supply safe products in accordance with current legislation and customer specifications.

Achievements of ‘Shchedra Niva’

Currently, only forty companies in Ukraine hold the IFS certification, but ‘Shchedra Niva’ has become the first in its industry to receive such recognition. This confirms the high production standards and the company’s quality approach to canned product manufacturing.

“In Ukraine, only 40 companies have this certification. And we are proud to be among them — and the first in our category,” the company emphasized.

Recognition by an international standard opens new opportunities for the enterprise in both domestic and foreign markets, as well as increasing consumer trust in Ukrainian products.
